Genesis 1:6-8
[6] Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
[7] God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.
[8] God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
This is 27th Lecture on Genesis.
In the last lecture, I told you about the things that happened both in the fleshly world and in the spiritual world on creation's second day.
In the fleshly world, the atmosphere was created; the waters below the expanse became the sources of seas, and the waters above the expanse became the water vapor in the air.
The waters both above and below the expanse began circulating forming the water cycle after the sun was created on the 4th day.
To be more specific, the sea water evaporates to become water vapor due to the sun's heat, it rises into the sky by convection, condenses and becomes clouds.
The clouds are carried by the winds to many places, it condenses and then comes down as precipitation such as rain or snow.
In order for a water vapor to become rain, it measures at least 0.2 millimeters in diameter.
When it is smaller than this, it will evaporate while falling down to the ground, and thus it will not be rain at the surface.
The rain which is smallest in diameter is called drizzle.
If the temperature falls below zero, it doesn't fall as rain, but snow or other frozen precipitation.
Have you ever looked closely at snow?
If you take a very close look at snow, you will be amazed at the ability of God the Creator.
6.8 billion people have facial features that all look somewhat different from each other, and so do snow crystals.
They are all different from each other, but amazingly their basic shape is the same; the hexagon.
Let's take a look at pictures of snow crystals or 'snowflakes'.
No matter how talented a designer is, he cannot make so many and varied and beautiful designs with just and only one material.
Despite all the efforts of scientists, they have not yet explained why snow crystals all have the base shape of the hexagon.
However, Johannes Kepler, known as "the father of crystallography" came to a conclusion.
He said that there is a "shape-forming force" in the ice, and it is this force that causes the formation of the shape of hexagon.
Even though he didn't find what this "force of shape-forming" is, we do know what it is.
It is the power and divine nature of God.
When water vapors inside clouds become snow, God's power and divine nature that is put into water cause the snow crystal to have hexagonal shape.
Therefore, every snow crystal is designed to have such a shape by the power and divine nature of God.
In Job 38:22, God said to Job, ""Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, or have you seen the storehouses of the hail?"
Of course, God didn't mean that there is such a storehouse for snow or the hail somewhere in Heaven.
This verse helps us understand the source of the snow and the hail is in God.
Dear brothers and sisters.
As I was examining snowflakes and crystals, I was curious why God designed for them to have the basic hexagonal shape, and I prayed to God.
God the Father explained the reason for this in detail, and I'm going to tell you what He said.
When God the Father created all things in the universe, He valued everything, and He put unique meanings into them according to their characteristics.
To allow people to understand that it is God the Almighty who created all things, He put not only His power and divine nature, but He also put His heart and will into all things.
For example, when He created the song birds, He put His heart that enjoys praises into them.
Most chirpings of birds are bright and clear.
And so, the sounds that they make cause people's hearts to feel refreshed.
When someone has a beautiful voice and sings well, people say that the voice is as sweet as a nightingale's.
Just as people feel good when they hear the chirpings sounds of birds, God takes great pleasure in hearing the sound of praises.
Moreover, when the children of God give praises to God with their heart full of love for God, God is very pleased with their praises.
To help us understand this heart of God, when He created birds, He made them able to sing with such sweet voices.
There is a reason God gave birds wings as well.
While a man lives with his two feet stepping on the ground, a bird flies with its wings.
What was it that God wanted man to realize when he looked at a flying bird?
God wanted man to realize there is another world that has different dimension from this world where his two feet are planted on the ground
When God created the bird, God put His heart and will for men in the bird.
And it is the same with other creatures that He created.
In some, He put the character of His heart that He wants to receive the aroma of a giver's heart.
Some others things were created to show the power of God that works like a fire, and some others things that show there is only one God the Creator.
There are others things that can make the people of this world feel the beauty of Heaven even a little.
It is such a pleasure to find which creature contains what kind of heart and will of God. It is as though we were playing a game to solve a puzzle of hide and seek.
Now, what is contained in the fact that God created all snow crystals having the basic form of a hexagon?
First of all, the number "6" has a meaning of "cultivation" in a spiritual sense.
The period of human cultivation is 6,000 years, and the work of creation to prepare for human cultivation also took place for 6 days.
Moreover, as a testimony to this fleshly space in the first heaven where we are, the number 6 means "the state of completion."
The period of 6,000 years is sufficient to complete the human cultivation and the work of creation was completed in 6 days.
God the Father explained to His key archangels many things about the upcoming work of creation.
Lucifer also heard many things about the work of creation before she became corrupt.
However, Lucifer didn't put into her heart the things concerning goodness, truth, and light that are in the providence of God's creation.
She put only what she needed for her personal benefit, and after she became corrupt, she used it to stand against God.
At the same time, she deteriorated the fundamental concepts in many areas that God originally established.
For example, the purpose of music and dance is to give praises to God.
However, Lucifer changed its original concept, and incited people to use music and dance to satisfy their lust.
She even caused people to use them to worship Satan.
It was not only music and dance, but Lucifer changed the purpose and concept of many other things that God originally established.
One such thing among these things is the meaning and association of the number "6."
Using this number 6, Lucifer made '666' to be recognized as the 'number of beast'.
Revelation 13:18 says, "Here is wisdom Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six."
As I explained during the Revelation Lecture, 666, the number of beast, is the number of used within barcodes.
In the future, when people who fall into the 7 Year Great Tribulation receive this number on their foreheads or hands, they will then lose even the last chance for salvation.
Simply put, 666 the number of beast. is the mark sealing a soul that has nothing to do with salvation.
In this way Lucifer used the number 6 in bad places to change its original and fundamental meaning.
Even though Lucifer changed the meaning commonly associated with the number, however, the original and fundamental meaning that God established doesn't disappear.
The original idea of number 6 that God established has a meaning of "cultivation," and in the first heaven - in this fleshly space - it has a meaning of "completion."
God the Father already knew that Lucifer would change the meaning of number 6.
Therefore, He 'made things perfect' with number 7.
Even though He completed all the work of creation in 6 days, He added another day and took rest on the 7th day.
And so, He made creation a total of 7 days.
Moreover, though human cultivation is completed in 6,000 years, a thousand-year-long "Millennium Kingdom" soon follows.
During this one thousand years, God restores this earth that was devastated at the instigation of Lucifer and evil spirits, and makes the saved souls stay here.
Eventually, God fills 7,000 years.
This is how the number "7" is, in a spiritual sense, the "perfect" number.
Many spiritual examples of the perfect number 7 can be found in the Bible.
Let me tell you some of them.
First, there are "Seven Spirits of God" found in the Book of Revelation.
The Seven Spirits are the heart of God that measures the seven fields.
The reason God measures seven fields, not 5 or 6, is that number 7 is spiritually a perfect number.
It represents that, when He searches the heart of a man, God doesn't take the measure imprecisely or imperfectly, but that He searches it perfectly.
In Leviticus Chapter 4, when people gave a sin offering, God told them to sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering seven times.
Since number 7 is spiritually a complete number, to sprinkle 7 times is to completely dust sin off.
In 2 Kings Chapter 5, when General Naaman was healed of leprosy, he was told to wash himself in the Jordan River seven times.
2 Kings 5:14 says, "So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child and he was clean."
In 1 Kings Chapter 18, it was the 7th time Elijah checked for rain when he received the answer of rain after the 3 and half year-long drought.
In Genesis Chapter 33, when Jacob again met his brother Esau, he bowed down to the ground 7 times.
It means that he would completely submit to his brother Esau.
In Matthew 18:21, Peter said to the Lord, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"
Then in Matthew 18:22, the Lord said, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."
To "Forgive up to seventy times seven" means to forgive perfectly.
Likewise, in a spiritual sense, the number 7 means perfection.
By the way, the original idea of number 6 is the meaning of: 'it is complete with the number 6 in the fleshly world.'
There are a few evidences that God originally put a sense of 'completion' into the number 6.
One of them is the fact that snow crystal has the shape of hexagon.
God the Father said, "In the fleshly world, the hexagon is the most stable and balanced in volume, height, or face wise.
He said that triangle, rectangle, and pentagonal shapes are unstable.
Interesting enough, the molecular structure of the water that is the most beneficial for a man's health is hexagonal.
The molecular structure of water is hexagonal is called the 'hexagonal water.'
Water takes up 60 to 80% of human body.
In case of blood or body fluid, its 90% is water.
62% of water has hexagonal structure, 24% is pentagonal, and the remaining 14% has rectangular structure.
Simply speaking, the human body likes 'hexagonal water.'
The cells which comprise a human body are the best active when they are surrounded by hexagonal waters.
On the other hand, the cells begin malfunctioning if the hexagonal structure is in disorder.
In fact, a study showed that waters of cells of cancer and diabetes were pentagonal.
Even mathematicians agree that the hexagon is the most stable.
In mathematics, the most complete figure is hexagon.
In mathematics, the figure that has the most area with the same circumstance is a circle.
However, there is a gap when the circles are grouped together, and so they cannot cover a surface completely.
Among equilateral - regular - polygons, only triangle, rectangle, and hexagon can cover the surface without gaps.
However, more triangles are needed than hexagons to cover a certain area.
And the structure of rectangle is not as strong as hexagon.
Therefore, to make the strongest space with the minimum of material, hexagon is most suitable.
We can find out here why the number 6 is the most complete number in this fleshly space.
There is an insect that knows this concept by instinct and constructs its house.
It is a honey bee.
The hive that honey bees construct has the structure of many hexagons adjoin to each other.
The wall of this hexagonal hive is 0.1 millimeter thick.
With this thin wall, it can store honey which can be 30 times heavier than the hive itself.
The reason that the hive can be strong with such a thin wall is because it has the structure of hexagon.
Honey bees know by instinct that their hive should be in a hexagonal shape to make the strongest house with the minimum amount of material.
Puppus, a Greek mathematician, wrote about the hive of honey bees in his book, "Collection" as following;
"Honey bees bring down from heaven to human beings 'honey' which is a food of gods.
It is not proper to store such precious honey on the ground, tree, or something else.
Hence, the honey bees created a vessel that they can store honey in.
This vessel had to have a structure with no gaps in between so that no impurities could infiltrate it.
However, the polygons that can fill a certain area without any gaps are only three; they are triangle, rectangle, and hexagon.
By instinct, honey bees chose a polygon that has the most area of angle ,the 'hexagon' which can store more honey than the other two.
Dear brothers and sisters.
How could honey bees know such mathematics?
Do you think they came to a conclusion after a discussion that they should use hexagon since it is the most stable structure with the maximum area?
No, they didn't.
The reason they could do it by instinct was that God the Creator gave such ability to the honey bees.
This structure of the honey bees' hive is called a 'honeycomb' and the structure is used in many areas.
Since it helps to make the most stable and strongest structure with minimum materials, it is used for the wall of jet planes and satellites.
It is also good soundproof and air casing.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
God the Father knew that human beings would gain a concept of numbers as their knowledge developed.
He wished that they would find and understand the providence of creation that He hid in all creatures as scientific technology developed.
The shape of a snowflake's crystal is hexagon, and the hexagonal waters are good for health; all these have become known to people thanks to developed scientific technology.
Therefore, the children of God should have an attitude of trying even harder to understand the providence of God's creation as their knowledge adds up.
When they look at a snowflake, they should think of God the Father who did the works of the 6 day creation and is managing the 6,000-year-long process of human cultivation, giving glory and praise to Him.
Lucifer, however, does the exact opposite.
In many parts, she deteriorated the original concepts that God established.
As people develop and increase their knowledge, she incites them to deny God by using their superficial knowledge.
For example, Lucifer tried to change the truth, the "creation of God" into the process of "evolutionism."
Evolutionism is a theory that organisms came to exist by themselves, and evolved into various species.
It is a theory that openly denies the truth that all things were created by the plan of God.
This concept of evolutionism that only the species that adapt themselves to their environment can survive not only affected the field of biology, but also other fields.
People came to have an idea unconsciously across entire fields such as politics, economy, society, culture, and philosophy that "only the strong can survive."
And thus since the 1900's, love has cooled down all the more, and evil has piled upon evil.
Even the wars having world-wide affects such as World War 1 and 2 had its root of cause in the evolutionary theory, "Only the strong can survive."
You can see how craftily Lucifer makes people soaked in sin and evil, and how she drags them to death.
If you believe in the creation of God, however, you will not fall into such a crafty scheme of Lucifer.
When you look at a clump of grass or a bird, you can realize that God created all things from His heart, and thus you can value them.
You can also deal with other people, not as opponents you should compete with to survive, but as precious beings that were created after the image of God.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 says, "The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person."
It tells us the fundamental concept how man was created.
It tells us that it is our duty to fear God and keep His commandments.
When you understand the providence of creation that is put into all things, you cannot but fear and revere God.
When you fear God from the depth of your heart, you cannot do evil things that God hates.
As you keep the commandments of God, you will voluntarily keep them from the depth of your heart.
And God promised that He would surely give blessing to His children who fear God like this.
That is, Proverbs 22:4 says, "The reward of humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, honor and life."
May all of you revere God from the depths of your hearts all the more through this Genesis Lecture, and receive the prepared glory and abundant blessing made ready for you, in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray!
