Scripture: Matthew 12:35
"The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil."
I wish for your life to be filled with God's love and blessing. Now I want to share the grace with you through the message titled with "Truthful Heart."
When some words are wrongfully conveyed, it often causes problems and harms mutually. It's because one's own thoughts are contained in the words. Of course, some other words are conveyed differently from what was originally told because it is too noisy around. But not because of this reason but because one's own thoughts and feelings are mixed words are wrongfully conveyed.
Sometimes even though the words are exactly conveyed, their meanings change because of facial looks and the volume of speech. If you fail to exactly convey the words and expressions of the other but instead replace it by your expressions, the words will change and become different from the first one.
Let me give a biblical example. In John chapter 21, the resurrected Jesus told Peter about his future martyrdom. When Peter asked about what would happen to John, Jesus said, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!" He meant even though John would not die until the Lord came it would have nothing to do with Peter. But other disciples wrongfully conveyed the word saying, "John will not die."
The same examples are often found around us. The words are exaggerated or reduced, and even are replaced by totally different words.
For example, the word "It is scheduled," is differently conveyed into "It is fixed," the phrase "The two persons have ill feelings against each other," are replaced by "They seriously quarreled" or the word "He is in need of finance" changes into "He is bankrupt."
There are many more people who fail to exactly convey the words than those who exactly do. But we can laugh and pass even though some others wrongfully convey our words. Here you have to remember one more thing. More serious is that untruths hidden inside the heart are related to the thoughts of untruths than wrongfully conveying the words.
If you accomplish a sincere heart, you will not distort the facts by your own thoughts. As much as you cast off desires to seek your own benefits, to roughly pass the problems, to impatiently judge others and to gossip bout others, you can convey the words more exactly.
Therefore, our Lord Jesus says in Matthew 12:35. "The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil." May you throw away the heart of untruth and change it into the heart of truth according to the word of God and become a person who is errorless in his words, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray! |
