Scripture: Matthew 6:28-30
"And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!"
I want your life to be filled with God's love and blessing and to share grace with the sermon titled "A Dream of True Value."
A proverb says, "A man without dreams becomes a slave to him who has dreams.' No matter how skillful a man is, if he does not have vision for the future, he can do little but work for a person who does have vision.
Thus, it is very important to hold fast to your dreams, but more importantly, you must determine what kind of dreams you have. Some spend all their time and effort in order to lead a wealthy life, others store as much knowledge as possible, and still others seek to obtain honors.
Can people be satisfied when they accomplish their dreams? King Solomon was a king of ancient Israel. He was one of those who enjoyed the greatest of riches and honors of anyone in history. He had a level of understanding of everything through a wisdom that had not been given to any man before and no one since his time. His country was so prosperous that the kings of many countries neighboring his became envious of his wisdom, his understanding and the honors accredited to him.
But in the late days of his life he confessed, "Vanity of vanities! Vanity of vanities! All is vanity. What advantage does man have in all his work Which he does under the sun? The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person."
You have to remember that the dream that gives us true satisfaction and shines its true value for ever can be accomplished in God the Creator who is the Master of our souls. So, you have to plant proper dreams in your heart that are worthy of God's confirmation.
The God of love created human beings and began to cultivate them in order to gain true children with whom He can share unchanging love forever and ever. Some people do not know the heart of God, and in sin they go the way of death. There are others who realize and give thanks for God's great love, and they become His true children who resemble Him.
That's why God has patiently endured a day like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day, and He endures even today. When His time comes, He will gather the good grain into the barn. That is, He will gather His children into the kingdom of Heaven. The more sanctified and pure His children have accomplished their hearts, God will let them draw nearer to His throne and share His love with them forever and ever
Therefore, you have to reflect upon yourself with the word of God every day, change into a man of truth and become Christ-like in your heart. May each of you become a true child of God who possesses really meaningful dreams and hopes for New Jerusalem, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray! |
