Solomon was a king of Israel. He lived all his life in splendor in a magnificent palace surrounded by his beautiful concubines. But what he realized in his old age was that 'all things are in vain'. Just like the ocean that can't be filled with ceaseless river flow, his heart was empty. Solomon presented to us a way to live without regret. On this he said,
". . .the conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person" (Ecclesiastes 12:13).
