People usually refer to someone as being broad-minded or narrow-minded. If you are broad-minded, you can see beyond here and now, and accomplish more than is required of you. On the other hand, some people only do what they have to do and others carry out their duties and responsibilities but only begrudgingly. God wants us to be broad-minded and accomplish more than what we are supposed to do as a member of a family, a society and a church.
"Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others" (See Philippians 2:4).
