When I pray for newly married couples, I ask God to let them serve each other and seek each other's benefits because it is a prerequisite for happiness. Being evil, people don't let what is theirs go, but want to have even more. They believe that only by doing so can they survive this world. On the contrary, goodness is to share, give, and yield. A person of goodness doesn't seek his own advantage as recorded in 1 Corinthians 13:5, but acts with consideration for others by which he can feel happy. This is how happiness follows sacrifice and concession.
