God gave great dreams to Joseph when he was 17 years old. The dreams showed that his parents and brothers would raise him up. Later though, he was sold as a slave because of his brothers' jealousy and even imprisoned on account of false accusations against him, yet he never forgot the dreams. It doesn't mean that he was conceited and arrogant thinking that he would be an honorable person. Rather he lowered himself by repenting that he had not considered his brothers' hearts. Consequently, he became a great person that harbored all people as a second ruler of Egypt.
