A Judean met with robbers who left him to die in the road. Fortunately some Jewish leaders, who took pride in keeping the Law, were traveling on the same road, but they pretended not to see the man and passed by on the other side of the road. However, a Samaritan, one of those who were generally held in contempt as transgressors of the Law by the Jews, saw him, helped him, and paid for his lodging and the treatment of his wounds (Luke 10:30-37). So, who acted properly and was found to be righteous in the sight of God? We should know that God is pleased with one who loves his neighbors as himself and He will bless him.
