Suppose a country is suffering from a nationwide contagious disease. Is it possible for an area to be an exception? This likely impossibility occurred in the course of the Israelites' exodus from Egypt. Egypt was on the verge of destruction due to the Ten Plagues, but they didn't affect the land of Goshen where the sons of Israel lived, for God protected them. The same applies today. Those living in sins suffer from diseases or accidents, while God's children who live in the Word of God are unaffected by such problems (Exodus 15:26).
