The Fruits of Haughtiness and Humility - Dong-A Ilbo [Siloam]
2008-12-12
When their living and economic conditions improve, some people forget the times they used to be in need while others, like ripen rice, lower their heads in humility. No matter how much wealth, fame, and authority the haughty may possess, they are unable to be at peace with others or enjoy true comfort and happiness. On the contrary, as the humble tolerate all kinds of people in love and virtue, they will win the hearts of others, accomplish great things, and receive more love and reverence.
"Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, But humility goes before honor" (Proverbs 18:12).
