As part of an effort towards spiritual growth of the congregation, Manmin Joong-ang Church has been holding an ongoing campaign, encouraging each of its members to memorize a Bible verse and read at least a chapter a day. The Men's Mission of the Seoul Region of The United Holiness Church of Korea (Elder Sungjoon Oh, President), the church-affiliated organization that most actively supports this effort, has been conducting "The All-Congregation Bible Quiz." In its 6th year, "The Bible Quiz" was held following the Sunday Evening Service on September 10, 2006.
Based on the Bible verses that were carried on weekly bulletins from August 2005 to July of this year, and after fierce competitions in the first two rounds, in sum 40 members ? including seven from branch churches ? entered the final round. Following a competitive yet friendly contest in the last round this past Sunday, the first-place winner was Pastor Eunyoung Cho of Manmin Joong-ang Church.

Celebration in Appreciation for Best Performers in "The Evangelization and Recovery of Lost Sheep Campaigns for the First Half of 2006"

On Tuesday, September 5, 2006, a celebration in appreciation for best performers in "The Evangelization and Recovery of Lost Sheep Campaigns for the First Half of 2006" was held at the Paju Arboretum in Kyongki Province. Following a joyous luncheon and a performance by Manmin's performing arts teams was a round-table talk during which Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee expressed his gratitude to all pastors, ministers, and Manmin members for their work towards the salvation of souls with which Our Lord is delighted, and asked for their continued endeavor in the effort.

Founding Service and Handkerchief Crusade at Jeju Manmin Church

On Tuesday, September 5, 2006, the founding service was held at Jeju Manmin Church in Yeon-dong, Jeju City. As Mrs. Boknim Lee, President of Manmin Prayer Center, delivered a message titled "The Early Churches" (Acts 2:43-47), those in attendance vowed to follow the footsteps of the early churches and achieve the evangelization of the entire Jeju region. During a crusade with the handkerchief on which Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12) following the service, many people gave glory to God after receiving His healing of a variety of diseases and infirmities.
