Since the Beginning of the Year We Have Been Overflowing with Blessings

Manmin Members Are Being Promoted, Passing Examinations, Being Awarded Scholarships and Receiving Financial Blessings

Those who received blessing are (from left) Brother Seungchul Song, Sister Jeong-gyeol Kim, Deaconess Hunsun Chung, Deacon Taehyung Kim, Sister Jueun Han and Elder Wang-geun Song.

Despite frigid winter weather, we are expecting even more during this 'Year of Reaping' as the stories of blessing from our members have kept pouring in since the beginning of the New Year.
At the 2010 Opening Ceremony held on January 4th, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee stated, "The year 2010 should be the starting point from which our members will abundantly reap according to what they have sown so far for the kingdom of God with their prayers, offerings, and faithfulness." To this day, Manmin members have prepared vessels for receiving blessings by offering prayer and worship services with all their hearts, keeping the perfect Sabbath, paying the whole tithe and showing God-pleasing deeds. Through the messages preached, the members learned the secrets to receive answers and blessings within God's justice, and they are glorifying God in their families, workplaces and businesses by applying the secrets to their lives.
Elder Wang-geun Song, President of Financiers' Mission was promoted to Vice Manager of Soha Branch of IBK (Industrial Bank of Korea) on January 14th. He was faithful in the church working as a district leader and a member of the Financial Committee as well as in his workplace. Elder Song told us, "At the year-end of last year, I offered a vowed prayer for the improvement of the sales figures of our branch and for my promotion. God answered me." Elder Song also delivered the happy news of other members of Financiers' Mission whom also received promotions this year. They are Deacon Jong-gon Baek, Deaconess Jong-ae Lee and Brother Sang-gu Kim.
Deacon Jaesik Son, 49, received a special promotion from Daejeon Branch Manager of 'A' Company to a position where he manages 16 branches at the head office in Seoul (see related article on page 4). Deacon Tae-hyung Kim, Manager of the local branch of Shinhan Life Lime Insurance Prime Inc, 32, was blessed to pay twice the his previous tithe. Deacon Kim was thankful saying, "After I repented of the discord between me and my wife, the blessing came upon me." Deaconess Hunsun Chung, 48, received material blessing when her house, which had been unsold for a year, was sold at a good price. Also, her husband's business stabilized and her family became more peaceful.
Sister Jeong-gyeol Kim, 25, was accepted by the Department of Biotechnology of Korea University Graduate School. She received additional blessing of being able to receive scholarships totaling about $6,000 in US currency per semester through graduation. While preparing for examination, she thought pleasing God was the first priority. She said, "I think God blessed me as I studied hard while depending on God and not taking a rest from reading the Bible and continuing to attend Daniel Prayer Meeting." Brother Seungcheol Song, 23, and Sister Jueun Han also received scholarships this semester. Senior Deaconess Insook Park, 48, passed a qualification examination for college entrance after studying for 70 days with God-given wisdom and thereby proved that anything can be made possible within faith (see related article on page 4). In addition to these people receiving blessings, there are many members who were offered employment in good positions or received overflowing material blessings.
The members' material blessings led to the church's financial blessing including the financial blessing of domestic branch churches. So the kingdom of God is expected to be accomplished more actively during 2010. Not only members in Korea, but overseas Manmin members are experiencing overflowing blessings and are sending offerings along with letters of thanksgiving to Manmin Central Church. Pastor Grace Lee of Nepal Manmin Mission Center wrote in her letter, "From the beginning of the year, we have been overflowing with testimonies of blessings such as receiving employment with good working conditions and receiving financial blessing after repenting of not having paid the whole tithe. I am excited and filled with expectation thinking how much God is going to bless us during the year 2010."
Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee is presenting the way to blessing through his sermons entitled 'Cultivating the Heart-field,' and 'The Law of Sowing and Reaping' that are being preached during Sunday Services in January and February of this year.

Participating in Medical Volunteer Works in Haiti

David Eu (Singapore), M.D in Family Medicine, is a member of our church. He is providing medical service in Haiti which has suffered tremendous damage from earthquakes. From the afternoon of January 22 when he arrived in Haiti, he has been treating hundreds of patients a day. He wrote in his letter, "Most of patients are suffering from trauma, and they are many children suffering from diarrhea and vomiting. The problem is that we don't have enough medication for these children. So the best thing I could do was to pray for them with the handkerchief and let them drink Muan Sweet Water. Although there's not much we can do for the people of this country, God can do great works for them. I ask for your prayers that we might deliver the love of God well." Last December, his youngest son named David Eu Junior was close to death with a urinary tract infection and sepsis, but he received healing after the prayer from Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee.
