Planting the Lord's Cross into the Hearts of Thai People with the Handkerchief of Power

Thailand is a Buddhism-dominant country where 95% of its people are Buddhists. In this country, which is well known to us for Muay Thai (Thai martial arts) and many Buddhist temples, the holiness gospel is being spread vigorously through the power of God. This past February 6th, Missionary Jaewon Lee conducted an evangelism meeting in a village named Mesuai near Chiang Rai located in Northern Thailand at the request of one of the villagers. He was able to get to the village after traveling along the paved mountain roadway for 2 hours by car from Chiang Rai. It was an alpine village where most of its residents lived in the houses made from bamboo trees. On this day, Missionary Lee preached with the title 'Why Is Jesus Our Only Savior?' and then he showed 'The Power of God' DVD introducing the powerful ministry of Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee. After this, he started praying for the participants with the handkerchief of power as recorded in Acts 19:11-12. A person who couldn't lift up his arms due to paralysis could raise his arms, and many testified to their healing. A case in particular, when the participants saw a person who had pulmonary disease repent in tears after the handkerchief prayer, they were touched to see the work of God. "I was sorry to see these people live so deep in the mountains and so far from civilization without national citizenship. But I was very grateful and happy to give them the best of gifts, which is sharing the gospel and letting them know about God's love and the Lord," said Missionary Lee. Also, at the handkerchief meeting held at the alpine village near Chai Prakan Manmin Church in Chiang Mai, Thailand on last January 31, an old man who couldn't walk came to walk well by the power of God after the handkerchief prayer. Missionary Jaewon Lee was commissioned to Thailand with his wife Missionary Soon-ok Lee and his three sons in October, 2009 and they are spreading the holiness gospel throughout Thailand. They reside in Chiang Rai.
