The 9th Creationism Seminar Held
At 6 PM on Sunday February 21, 2010, the 9th Creationism Seminar was held under the auspices of the Creation Mission, an affiliated organization of the World Christian Doctors Network (WCDN) in the sixth sanctuary of Manmin Central Church. In this seminar, Deacon Brian Sanghoon Yeo, Manager of WCDN made a presentation under the title "Logical Understanding of the Spiritual Space" and Deacon Seungsik Kim, Ph. D of physics, Head of Creation Science Department of WCDN spoke under the title "The Appearance and Extinction of the Dinosaurs". They presented published works of renowned scholars that had been recently carried in famous science magazines as credible supporting evidences and logically explained that Dr. Jaerock Lee's Genesis Lectures can be proved scientifically. The Creation Mission provides credible evidence of the fallacy of evolutionism and testifies to the God's providence of creation.
'The Message of the Cross' Preached at the Nepal Rehabilitation Center for the Drug Addicts
Pastor Grace Lee of Nepal Mission Center visited a rehabilitation center for the drug addicts 'Nepal Hamro Paila' (translated as 'our steps' in English) on February 10. For the patients undergoing rehabilitation, she preached and prayed for them for two hours. She preached about 'The Message of the Cross' and the testimony of Dr. Jaerock Lee who met God after seven years of suffering from diseases.
Prisoners' Edification Mission Visited Yeongdeungpo Detention Center
On February 26, the Prisoners' Edification Mission of our church, under the leadership of the President, Elder Dong-rip Lee, visited Yeongdeungpo Detention Center and offered the service. At this service the presider was Elder Chi-hyun Lee and Senior Deaconess Eunhee Kim offered the representative prayer. Pastor Youngsik Kang delivered the message. They held a birthday party for the inmates sharing refreshments with them. The Prisoners' Edification Mission visits Yeongdeungpo Detention Center on a bi-monthly basis and is spreading the Lord's love by offering the services and having a monthly birthday party.
The 20th Class of MMTC (ManminMissionary Training Center) Visited Missionary Sites
On Saturday, February 27, 30 trainees of the 20th class of MMTC visited United Christian Martyrs Memorial in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, Yanghwajin Foreign Missionary Cemetery in Habjung-dong, Seoul. Visiting missionary sites is one of the regular programs of MMTC to let the trainees learn the spirit of love and sacrifice of the missionaries who didn't even spare their lives for the Lord's gospel. MMTC is educating future missionaries by giving lectures on the Five-fold Gospel, the Old and New Testaments, Introduction to Missions, and Leadership and Teamwork, and also through practical application of mission training through vision trips, visiting missionary sites, conducting research, and making presentations of a mission field.
