One family united with a cord of love in Christ: Members of the worship dance team of the children's Sunday school were putting carnation corsages on adult members of the church with their grateful hearts in celebration of Parents' Day. In the picture to the right, the Senior Pastor, Dr. Lee, was delivering the message during Children's Sunday Service and the members of Sunday school's voluntary group were singing the praises.


After the Sunday morning service on May 1st Pastor Seongsik Jang, Principal of the children's Sunday school presided over the children's Sunday service with speaker, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee, in the second sanctuary.

Dr. Lee delivered the message with the title of 'My Father God' from 1 Samuel 17:45-46. Emphasizing that God is so gentle and kind, he urged children to lead lives having God, who is their Father, as the center of their lives like David did. The children in attendance engraved the message on their hearts while saying 'Amen.' Because the service was broadcast live through GCN, the children of branch churches in and out of Korea could attend the service simultaneously.

On May 7th, in celebration of Parents' Day, the Students' Sunday school held a special Saturday worship and praise service to which the students invited their parents. Pastor Dongcho Shin delivered the message under the title of 'God Is Good' from 1 Timothy 2:4. He talked about the ways for parents and children to have a better relationship in the Lord. Sister Hanbin Lee read the words of gratitude on the students' behalf and Deacon Jacob Lee responded on the behalf of parents. She put a red carnation corsage on him. Through the event, parents and students in attendance were able to profess their love and be all the more closely united.

On May 8th the Senior Deaconess' Association hosted the Parents' Day Celebration Event inviting members of the fifth men's mission and women's mission, which is made up of believers who are more than 70 years old. After Pastor Soojin Lee delivered the message titled with "A Valuable Life", the Serem Korean traditional music team and traditional dance team, Pearl Praise Team, gave glory to God with their praise and dance. Senior Deaconess Haseon Kwon, president of Senior Deaconess' Association, said, "We prepared for the event with thankful hearts for our parents' grace. I hope they will have great time and feel like they are at a heavenly banquet."
