"Towards the True Happiness and Joy!"_Students Renewed with the Hope for Heaven
Manmin's students have been renewed and are now riding well on the flow of whole spirit. They have replaced their smart phones with the 2G phones, stopped playing online games, and started to study hard, and now are worshipping with a good attitude during worship services and praying because they want to.
What happened to them? One of the Aesop's fables "The Sun and the Wind" talks about what motivates people to move. In the dispute of who is strong enough to take off the coat of the man on the street, the Sun won. The love, sacrifice, and sincere service that someone showed to the students moved their hearts, made their hearts open widely, and shine with the faith and hope in them.
Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee has helped and encouraged students with scholarships and financial support. He has also taught students how to lead a proper Christian life and prayed for them so that they can achieve their goals. In 2016 he invited them to his mountain prayer house to give them hope for Heaven and let them experience true happiness and joy in the Lord.
On December 27, 2015, Dr. Lee, who had earnestly wanted to show the beauty of Heaven to students, invited them to his prayer house. From the day he announced the invitation, they began to change so quickly. In every worship service, they concentrated on the message and replied with 'Amen' to the preacher. Even many adult members were moved by them. Many of the students also started to pray and even participated in the Special Daniel Prayer Meeting. They read the Bible, fasted, studied hard to get a good mark on the midterm test, and developed their abilities. They prepared themselves for the visit with their hearts for four months.
This year on May 7th and 14th, Middle School Students' Mission, High School Students' Mission, and students from branch churches in Korea paid a visit to the Dr. Lee's prayer house. Dr. Lee welcomed them at the entrance and shook hands with all of them. He talked to them, had photos taken with them, and had a great time with them. They ate many kinds of food, exercised, and got a sense of the happiness they will feel in Heaven. Since this happy memory lingers in their hearts, they are still feeling so happy.
Brother Sunjin Kim, 11th grader, stated, "I felt the Senior Pastor's great love for us students. Now I do not fight and do not use foul language. I used to fight with my friends in school but I now get along well with them. My school teacher asked me what had happened to me and really liked my new attitude." Sister Sunju Yim, 11th grader, from Daejeon Manmin Church said, "After the visit, Senior Pastor's love often comes to mind. So, I shed tears and offer up my heart to God through praises and prayer."
Brother Sion Kim, 12th grader, President of High School Students' Mission stated, "I had to prepare for this visit as a leader so I didn't have enough time to study for my midterm test. But, God helped me stay focused on my studies and I was ranked number one for the midterm test in my whole school." Sisters Jin Lee and Hyun Lee, twin sisters, 10th graders, smiled and said, "We wanted to repay the shepherd's grace and studied hard. We won first place respectively in each class."
Brother Sungjae Park, 8th grader, said, "I hurt my tailbone while I was playing soccer. I heard that I should receive six weeks of medical treatment. But when I took a picture with Senior Pastor, I shook hands with him harboring my heart's desire for healing. After that I quickly recovered."
As students were renewed, even their parents have been blessed. Deaconess Heekyung Song, age 39, said, "My son, Youngjae (9th grader), has stopped playing online games and started to pray. I am so thankful to Senior Pastor. He let me realize what it is like to raise children with love."
Pastor Jaejung Lee, Principal of Students' Sunday School, said, "Senior Pastor thinks about how he can help students renew themselves and how he can encourage them all the time. Many students have been renewed through his love, and I also learned spiritual love from this visit."
Manmin's students will grow up well in the love of God, the Lord, and the shepherd. They will proclaim the glory of God all over the world at this end time and wake up all people of all nations with the beautiful aroma of the Lord.
