[Special] The 23rd Anniversary and GCN Launching Services & Festivities - With Guests from Abroad
"A Plan Sought for Mutual Cooperation on GCN"
Prior to and after the Launching Ceremony, many guests from abroad visited the Manmin TV headquarters and expressed sincere willingness to collaborate with GCN on mission work through broadcasting. On October 7, 2005, GCN's board of directors held a meeting at the Manmin TV headquarters. Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, Chairman of the Board of Directors, emphasized the vital role of GCN that will proclaim to the world the existence of the Living God and His power, solidified the vision and efforts of broadcasting ministry through GCN, and urged for cooperation in greater depths.
"Discussion for Reciprocal Collaboration on WCDN"
This year's anniversary festivities were also attended by members of the World Christian Doctors Network (WCDN).
Among the guests were Dr. P. Jayachandran, M.D. of India, a member of the Organizing Committee of "The 2nd International Christian Medical Conference" that was held in May 2005 in Chennai, India, under the auspices of WCDN, as well as Undersecretary for Special Concern at the Department of Health Dr. Jade F. Del Mundo, M.D. and Dr. Edith S. Tria, M.D., an AIDS specialist at the National Hospital of the Philippines, and orthopedist Dr. Louiza Muratova, M.D. at St. Petersburg Children's Hospital of Russia. They shared their impression of the Chennai conference and discussed collaboration on "The 3rd International Christian Medical Conference" that is to be held next year.
"A Visit to the Site of the Muan Sweet Water of God's Power"
On October 10 and 11, 2005, guests from abroad to this year's anniversary celebration visited the site of the Muan Sweet Water in Muan, Southern Jeon-nam Province, where the salty water of the ocean was changed into sweet and potable water by the prayer of Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee. On Monday the 10th, Mr. Namsuk Suh, the magistrate of the Muan County, greeted the guests. "Thank you for visiting the site of a miracle," Mr. Suh said in his welcoming address. "I hope all the guests from abroad here today will also experience this miracle." After Mr. Suh's remarks, the guests received overflowing grace by the performance of the members of Manmin's Performing Arts Committee. Just as General Naaman in Old Testament times was healed of leprosy after he washed himself in the Jordan River 7 times by faith, after the luncheon the guests dipped themselves in the sweet water to receive answers to the desires of their hearts, and many of them gave glory to God with their own healing. One particularly noticeable case was that of Rev. Guy Davidts from Belgium, whose deteriorating eyesight had made it impossible for him to read fine prints on business cards. After he dipped himself in the Muan Sweet Water, however, Rev. Davidts could see much better.
