On July 25, 1982, Manmin Central Church offered the Opening Service under the title of "The Treasure of Treasures Is Faith." On October 10, 1982, just 77 days later the Founding Service was offered up under the title of "Arise, Shine." Since then, Manmin members have gained life and been changed by the word preached, the manifestation of power, the prayer of love and tearful intercession of the Senior Pastor, Dr. Jaerock Lee. Manmin's 30-year history is characterized as touching dramatic moments performed in the accompanying of God the Trinity: God the Father who supervises the whole process of human cultivation; God the Son who is our Savior and the head of the church; and God the Holy Spirit who is our Helper and Comforter. Let's reminisce while looking back at the touching occasions that happened through the works of the Holy Spirit with God's love and the Lord's grace.



1. 1982 - Church Opening and Founding

Manmin Central Church was opened with 13 members. It was grounded in countless times of fasting and prayer and it has grown up to have approximately 130,000 members enrolled in Korea and has expanded to have around 10,000 branch and associative churches world-wide.


2. 1987 - Beginning of the Literary Media Ministry and Publishing of Books and Papers

Urim Books' 80 books have been translated in 74 languages and published in 44 languages, and Manmin News is issued in 25 languages.


3. 1992 - Participation in Korean Christian Events and National Evangelism

We spearheaded national evangelism working as a leader of many missionary organizations including Joint Chairman of the 1992 Holy Spirit World Explosion Crusade, and Administrative Chairman of 1995 Jubilee Crusade marking the 50th Anniversary of Korea's Independence.


4. 1993 - Selected as One of "the World's Top 50 Churches" after 11 Years

The Christian World magazine of the United States selected Manmin as one of "The World's Top 50 Churches." Afterwards, the door to evangelization in US was opened widely beginning with the united crusade in Washington D.C., and the annual Two-week Special Revival Meeting began in the church.


5. 1998 - First Appearance of a Circular Rainbow as the Sign of God's Love

God started to show us circular rainbows as the sign of His love for us so that we could feel the space of God who is spirit and His presence among us (Revelation 4:3).


6. 1999 - A Korean National Broadcaster's Distortion of the Truth and Works of the Holy Spirit

After overcoming a fiery trial that happened in the 7th Two-week Special Revival Meeting, extraordinary miracles began taking place through the handkerchief on which Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed, and overseas handkerchief crusades were held (Acts 19:11-12).


7. 2000 - Entering the 2nd Stage of Take-off, the World Mission, the Power of Creation

The work of creation that changed salty seawater into sweet drinkable water unfolded in Muan Manmin Church, Jeonnam Province (Exodus 15:25). Beginning with the Uganda Holy Gospel Crusade, reported by CNN, our church has been earnestly accomplishing the world mission.


8. 2002 - The India United Crusade was Held with a Total of Three Million in Attendance

A total of over three million people attended even though the 'Ordinance of Banning Forcible Conversion' had been put into effect. Many Hindus experienced God's healing works and converted to Christianity. God was greatly glorified.


9. 2004 - Organizing of WCDN that Proves God's Power with Medical Data

WCDN (World Christian Doctors Network) was organized and has testified to God the Healer in the world by holding annual International Christian Medical Conference with the theme of "Spirituality and Medicine".


10. 2005 - Launching of GCN TV, a Pure Christian Broadcaster

GCN (Global Christian Network) broadcasts characteristic programs that contain Dr. Jaerock Lee's messages of holiness, manifestations of God's powerful works, testimonial stories, praise, and prayer to about 170 countries.


11. 2006 - New York United Crusade Aired in More than 200 Countries

With New York senators, congressmen, and members of the City Council in attendance, we held New York United Crusade in Madison Square Garden in New York City, the heart of the world.


12. 2007-2009 - "777 days of Israeli Ministry", Following in the Footsteps of the Lord

In Israel, 'the remotest part of the earth', where the gospel started but has been disregarded, the gospel of Jesus Christ was proclaimed 12 times throughout 3-year ministry and finally the united crusade was held in Jerusalem in 2009.


13. 2009 - Named as One of the 'Top 10 Most Influential Christian Leaders' and Manmin Praise

In Victory, the biggest Russian Christian portal site and Christian Telegraph named Dr. Jaerock Lee as one of the 'Top 10 Most Influential Christian Leaders' and God began giving us, through the Holy Spirit's inspiration, Manmin Praise that has pure melody and lyrics. Now we have around 160 God-given songs.


14. 2010 - Spiritual Growth of Members and Works of Blessing

When Christmas Day drew near in 2010, members searched their past sins and wrongdoings that had disturbed their spiritual growth and repented of them; thenceforth God has blessed them to ride on the flow of spirit as well as receiving salvation.


15. 2011 - Touching Moments on Christmas Day and in New Year's Service

God blessed members to take the picture of various images formed by the original light, increased their faith through 2011 Leadership Conference—to come into spirit and whole spirit, and God said in 2012 New Year's Service that they had passed the test of faith.


16. 2012 - Summer Retreat where Great and Amazing Power overflowed

While most Koreans were suffering from the scorching weather at 35 degrees Celsius (95 Fahrenheit), at the summer retreat places, Manmin members enjoyed much cooler weather and freshening breezes that were like those from Siberia. Those members from many areas of Korea and 23 countries felt God's love seeing the movement of clouds, moving stars, and an amazing swarm of dragonflies that sat on their bodies.


17. 2012 - Preparation for Canaan Sanctuary, a Start of Grand Sanctuary

Since the opening of our church, God has had our members pray for the construction of Grand Sanctuary to achieve His providence placed in the end time. He has led Manmin to become a church that arises and shines through the shepherd's blasting power. In 2011, He let them purchase a land to build Canaan Sanctuary on.
