"Let's grow together in stature, heart, faith, and talent with a dream!"
Here are some upcoming Manmin events. Children's Sunday School and Students' Sunday School started a new year vigorously with the principals who were newly inaugurated. Manmin News had an interview with Principals Hyunjin Kim (Left) and Jaejung Lee (Right).
Q. Congratulations on your inauguration as principals. How did you feel about it?
Principal Lee: Though I was having a hard time in school days due to mom's disease and economic difficulties, I received much love from the Lord, believers, and teachers. I kept a desire to repay the debt of love all the time, so I secretly helped students in need for several years. I also wrote the Bible study books for students when I was a teacher in Students' Sunday School. Thinking my Father God knew this heart of mine, I was deeply touched.
Principal Kim: I could feel the earnest love of God the Father who wants to lead souls to Heaven without losing a single soul. I also shed tears with thanks for the grace of having been given such a precious duty. In the past, I led a Christian life with just Father God and me. But now, I have come to have a new relationship. It is 'Father God and I, and souls' which has opened a new chapter in my Christian life. When I look at our children there is a natural attraction seeing them as Manmin's members. I harbor them in my heart and look at them with love and faith.
Q. What is the 2014 vision in Students' and Children's Sunday Schools?
Principal Lee: It is for the majority of guidance pastors, financial supporters and teachers to stand on the rock of faith. It is my very first goal for their growth towards the level of spirit. Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee put an emphasis on having spiritual faith as the only way to achieve true revival. Here, the faith of spirit is 'to love God exceedingly.' If love for God sprouts and grows up in the hearts of students, they will come to church of their own volition and worship God in spirit and truth. They will also have a vision of the future in the Lord. Moreover, guidance pastors, financial supporters, teachers, and I will serve and take care of students with the heart of the shepherd. Then, I believe that revival will automatically follow.
Principal Kim: I spent my entire school days in Manmin. I grew up in the protection and love of God the Father and I could lead my Christian life with the messages of Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee. From early childhood, God the Father planted the seeds of faith, hope, and love in me and the seeds grew up with Dr. Jaerock Lee's tearful prayers. I eventually came forth as the fruit of spirit. I also want to plant the seeds of faith, hope, and love in our children's hearts so that they can be borne as fruits of spirit. I am convinced that they will be God's true fruit if our guidance pastors, financial supporters, and teachers, and I become united with the heart of the shepherd and plant the seeds with tears and prayer.
Q. What do you want to accomplish foremost for them?
Principal Lee: I want to help each individual student meet and have a personal and intimate relationship with the God of love. Though God is always near them, if someone forces them to meet God, they can't be happy in leading their Christian lives. They can't maintain a deep fellowship with God, either. I want to guide them so that they can find and meet God for themselves and in their freewill. I believe that the shortcut to meeting God is a dream we have in the Lord. By relying on God in achieving our dream, we can find and meet God in the midst of the way. I am praying for guidance pastors, financial supporters, and teachers to meet Him in this way and have fellowship with Him first and to play a role as a mentor for students and to show a good example for them.
Principal Kim: I want to restore the 'worship services'. I am praying earnestly for children to meet God of love by worshipping God in spirit and truth. By offering up such worship services, we are able to meet and experience Father God who dwells in the Word. This allows for us to be given strength and power to live differently from the world. All these could be done through spiritual teachings of guidance pastors, financial supporters, and teachers. Now they and I, we, have received strength from God through fasting and prayer.
Q. What do you want to say to parents?
Principal Lee: I hope you will give the warmth of your hearts to your children rather than giving them 'lessons'. Of course, if your children don't practice the truth because they do not know it, you should teach it to them. But when they do know the truth but they can't practice it due to lack of strength, they need our prayers and encouragement. Please be reliable friends to your children. I am sure that the most certain way to planting faith is in the love of considering their hearts and not teaching or giving them lessons for their minds. All the messages and presentations Dr. Jaerock Lee gave during Mini Divine Healing Meeting were from his heart and consideration for students. It was love containing vital warmth. If you give them such love, they will feel that much love of God.
Principal Kim: What if someone gave you a pot with the seed of a plant that bears golden fruit? You would water it with a great care and provide it with sunshine and nutrients until it bears its fruit. Your children are like the pot with the seed of golden fruit. Even if on the outside your children do not seem to be able to bear such fruit for now, I hope you won't feel impatient or give up on them. Until they come forth as such fruit, I would like you to provide them with God's Word and His warm love steadily without changing. Through expectation and love, they will come forth as fruit more precious than gold.
Q. What would you like to say to students and children?
Principal Lee: Dear 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders! Father God and the Lord love you. Your dad 'Amur stickleback' loves you so much. So, the love is the source of your happiness and encouragement both when you are doing well and when you are not. None of us should ever leave the arms of God. We must also stay close to our shepherd. In Manmin, let's have a dream and increase the capacity of our heart-vessel, our faith, and our talents as we grow.
Principal Kim: Dear children, you are like a clean white sheet of sketch paper. You have a white heart like the white sketch paper with no spot, no dirt, and no wrinkle. While I am with you as your principal, let's draw the love of God the Father, the Lord, and the shepherd on your heart like the sheet of paper. Let's draw not with a black crayon but with aurora-colored crayons with hope for New Jerusalem.
