The Grace Given by the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit helps us have the knowledge and understanding of God who is Spirit and the spiritual realm so that we can believe and confess that Jesus is our only Savior (Galatians 4:6; 1 Corinthians 12:3). In celebration of the day of Pentecost on Sunday June 4, 2017, let's give all thanks and glory to Father God by delving into the grace given by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit Pours Down Grace like a Waterfall
As recorded in 1 Corinthians 12, the Holy Spirit gives us various gifts. One of them is speaking in tongues. Those of you who have prayed in tongues must have felt the spiritual joy and celestial happiness. With the gift of visions, you may see Heaven or spiritual beings, like angels.
We are filled with God-given joy when we praise God and pray to Him and work for Him in the fullness of the Spirit.
Also, through the powerful works of the Holy Spirit, you can feel the spiritual world, which has no impossibilities and which is mysterious and wondrous. By His work, you will have the assurance of the absoluteness of the Bible so that you may have no lingering attachment to the world and lead a happy life full of the hope for Heaven.
The Holy Spirit searches even the depths of God (1 Corinthians 2:10), so He lets us know God's secret providences and helps us understand the heart and will of God. Through His help, we can understand how great God's love is and how deep God's goodness is.
The Holy Spirit lets us realize not only God's love but also His justice. He lets us know how we can live a blessed life, without getting involved in disasters in this rough world. Through the Holy Spirit, God is pouring down grace like a waterfall. We have to be thankful that the Holy Spirit dwelling in us is giving us abundant grace.
The Holy Spirit Intercedes and Groans for Us
As the Holy Spirit is the truth (1 John 5:7), when God's children follow the truth, the Holy Spirit rejoices greatly. When the Holy Spirit rejoices in us, our heart is also filled with joy. On the contrary, the Holy Spirit groans in us if we follow the untruth. When the Holy Spirit groans, our heart also feels troubled. At this point, if we repent of it and practice truth, anguish will go away and peace and joy come upon us.
Even though we might commit a grave sin due to our weakness, He intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words and He prays to God that God will forgive us and give us the strength to turn back from sins. If we didn't listen to His voice, the Holy Spirit always knocks on the door of our heart so we can again open our heart and obey.
The Holy Spirit knows how sin-filled this generation is and how wicked the hearts of people are in this end time. For this reason, He is continually asking forgiveness for us and praying for us to earn more chances. The Holy Spirit does not give up on even those souls who are trying to give up on themselves. He groans for them, intercedes for them, and guides them to the right way which God the Father wants.
You should be deeply thankful for the love of the Holy Spirit who still wants to lead you to New Jerusalem in Heaven even if you have many shortcomings.
The Holy Spirit Always Knows Our Heart and Helps Us in Every Hour and in Every Place
The Holy Spirit works in our lives in various ways so that we can feel the love of God. The Holy Spirit comforts us, encourages us, and helps us.
In a time of trials when nobody knows your heart, you can feel comfort because of a rainbow in the sky because you believe that God has made the rainbow just for you. Sometimes, He comforts or encourages us through people around us. At times you might get what you wanted from other people. Or, you might receive some extra income, which is the exact amount you need urgently. Then, tears might well up, and you will be touched by the delicacy and kindness of God who knows all your situations.
You sometimes feel that a certain content of the message is being spoken exclusively for you. When you sing praises, certain lyrics touch your heart very deeply. In your prayers, you might pray for the necessary things as if Holy Spirit has put those words on your lips. When some leaders or pastors who are full of the Spirit intercede for you at prayer meetings, they read your mind as if they have been inside your heart.
Then, you can feel the deep love thinking, "God the Father knows all my heart. He is encouraging me that I can do it. He is beckoning me to come into New Jerusalem." All these things are the hands of the Holy Spirit who knows and understands our hearts. The Holy Spirit knows not only our words and actions but also the deepest part of our heart and the situations that others do not know.
Just remember that there is somebody who is looking at you with the eyes of God the Father and who is holding you with the heart of the Father God, and who is always with you. He is the Holy Spirit. Acknowledge this Holy Spirit and rely on Him to advance towards New Jerusalem more vigorously.
