There have been so many deaf people who recovered their hearing ability through Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer. In Manmin Summer Retreat 2015, 27 out of 28 deaf people's ears opened. Moreover, through handkerchief prayer, such works as opening the ears of the deaf have happened.

In the 2016 Manmin Summer Retreat, 29 deaf people came from France, Germany, Faroe Islands, Denmark, India, Malaysia, and Thailand. They prepared themselves for the retreat by offering up breakfast fasting for forty days and attending Daniel Prayer Meeting every night.

During the Divine Healing Meeting on the first night, they received Dr. Lee's prayer for the sick. Some felt hot, some felt cool, and others felt a kind of electronic current during the prayer, and they came to hear and some came to hear more and more clearly.

Brother Liew Kar Luckfrom Malaysia, age 23, had come to hear in Manmin Summer Retreat 2015. But in this year's retreat, he came to hear a lot better from his both ears, and he even began to talk a little. Malaysian Chinese Deaconess Li Ying, age 50, had been healed of deafness in her right ear last year and this year she came to hear more sounds.

Sister Beate Geisselsoeder, age 47, from Germany felt hot in both her ears and came to hear. She was also healed of after-effects of thyroid surgery.

Brother Hans Weihe Hansen, age 31, from Faroe Islands experienced his left ear's opening during the last retreat. This year, he came to hear better from his left ear and started to hear from his right ear as well. Brother Umesh Grover, age 44, from India and Brother Pascal Pawlikowski, age 48, from France came to hear from their right ears.

Sister Jytte Dahl, 58, from Denmark; Brother Siwapong Tasa, 24, from Thailand; Brother Preeshan Thas Baskarathas, 28, Brother Liew Kar Fond, 23, Brother Ooi Hong Hooi, 38, Brother Chuah Soo Beng, 49, Brother Foo Lun Leong, 23, Sister Lim Sze Kee, 16, Sister Eng Lee, 50, and Sister Lim Soon Siong, 21 from Malaysia experienced improved hearing ability in Retreat 2016.

Among the members in Korea, Deaconess Hyejin Cho, 47, became able to hear from her right ear without her hearing aid and her pronunciation became clearer. Deaconess Youngsuk Cha, 67, became able to hear from her both ears. Deaconesses Jungsuk Lee, 45 and Miok Cheong, 48 who had come to hear during the last retreat, came to hear better so they can now hear more sounds more clearly.
