Elder Jangseok Ahn, age 57, Parish 18, Manmin Central Church


After I worked for LG as an executive for 23 years, I transferred to a Japanese semiconductor company and worked as Development Chief Director. In September 2016 when I had worked there for 9 years, I was given a notice saying that they would not be able to renew the contract with me. They decided to change executives since the economy of Korea was progressing to disadvantage of the company.

I talked about it to my Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee. He prayed for me to be led to the best way. Then, I decided to get help from a social network that I had established and its headhunters. I spent very busy days making plans and carrying them out. Unlike my expectation, there were no offers that I wanted. From January 2017, I began to work as a CEO in a venture business my acquaintance had run. Since it was not my field, however, I was not satisfied with the work. In retrospect, I think I tried to make it on my own rather than asking for help of God through prayer.

In the meantime, Special Daniel Prayer Meeting started on February 20. I prayed earnestly to bear the fruit of blessing and offered up my prayer during the whole 42 days. After one session of the prayer, I received job offers from two companies but they thought my work experience was too much for them. The offers ended up being withdrawn for the unexpected reasons.

I believed God would guide my way as Senior Pastor prayed for me and prayed relying more on God. On the 40th day in the last week of Special Daniel Prayer Meeting, I was given a job offer as a General Manager from LG Electronics' affiliated components company which went public on KOSDAQ. Its sales reached 100 million dollars. The CEO asked me to tell him everything I wanted, and he accepted my requests. I was inaugurated in the position on April 1. Hallalujah!
