Sumant Kumar (Age 25, Bihar, India)


I was born in a Hindu family and have worshiped idols since childhood.

In December of 2015, something suddenly happened to me as the father of two children. My neck started to have a scar and I couldn’t eat properly and just slept all day. I felt more helpless and dizzy, so I had to spend hard times.

As a result of hospital check-up, I was diagnosed with multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (typically, the duration of treatment for tuberculosis is about 6 months, but multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis is at least 18 months, and the treatment success rate is low and difficult to treat) and lymphatic tuberculosis. Mycobacterium tuberculosis was spreading all over my body, and my body gradually became faint.

Then in January 2019, when I discovered Dr. Jaerock Lee’s “Prayer for the Sick” video on YouTube through the “GCNTV HINDI” channel, I saw the contact information of the Delhi Manmin Church in India and called there. The staff who answered my phone call sent the video clips of Dr. Jaerock Lee’s “The Message of the Cross” sermon series.

When I heard these messages, I realized the love of Jesus. Especially, when I realized that idolatry is a sin, I repented. I kept on listening to Dr. Jaerock Lee’s sermons and began to pray to God the Creator.

A month later, on the 22nd of February, I attended the Special Healing Meeting held at Manmin Central Church, Seoul, S0uth Korea, through the “GCNTV HINDI” channel. When Pastor Soojin Lee prayed with the handkerchief of God’s power (Acts 19:11-12) on which Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed, I felt the Lord’s hand on my head.

From this point on, my body became lighter, all the pain and dizziness disappeared, and I regained appetite.

And four months later, in June, the hospital result confirmed that multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis and lymphatic tuberculosis were clearly cured. Hallelujah!

My second daughter, Dipica, who is three years old this year, had four teeth rotten and pus shed. The doctor said that the teeth should be removed, but every day she received Dr. Jaerock Lee’s “Prayer for the Sick” and she was cleanly cured.

I was to be angered and quarreled before I believed in God. But, after I accepted the Lord and changed my mind into truth, my heart is always peaceful. How grateful! Not only that, but the work I am doing is getting along good, and now I am preparing to open a stationery notebook manufacturer. And my family members who saw me being cured converted and accepted our Lord.

I couldn’t hope for anything because of the serious illness. But, it is like a dream because I am living a life that others envy thanks to God’s grace and blessing. I give all thanks and glory to the living God.
