Deaconess Riyeon Goh (The 4th Young Adult Mission, Age 31)


In June, 2020, I suddenly didn’t feel well. I couldn’t breathe, and my heart beat so fast when I walked fast and even when I was still.

I couldn’t sleep at night. I couldn’t work as I felt palpitations very often, which made me nervous. I felt tired and even if I took a break, I felt like I didn’t take any break. I became sensitive because I couldn’t sleep well.

I went to see a doctor wondering if there was anything wrong with my heart. The test result said that it was ‘hyperthyroidism’. Because my hormone levels were higher than normal, I was told that I needed to keep taking medicine to make it lower. But at the moment I heard it, I thought I was given a chance to glorify God by being healing with faith and I rather rejoiced.

I prayed hard attending the Daniel prayer meeting online. Thankfully, I felt less palpitations when I prayed, although I felt it a lot at other times. Whenever I prayed, God blessed me to discover myself that I had many ill-feelings and resentment, and I always blamed others. I realized that it was me who should have changed. Everything was my fault. As I realized these things in prayer one by one by the help of the Holy Spirit, I could pray more fervently with an earnest heart for change.

I received the Senior Pastor’s recorded prayer for the sick in the morning and evening. Whenever I received the prayer, my heart became passionate, and I felt fire in my body and especially my neck. Experiencing the Holy Fire continually like this, I felt confident that I could be healed. The symptoms such as palpitations, going to the bathroom often, and tremors in my hands disappeared in a short period of time. My body recovered gradually.

The test result in October showed that my thyroid hormone levels were normal. And in December, every level recovered to be normal. I give all thanks and glory to God the Father who helped me discover myself in prayer and healed me.
