Honorary Senior Deaconess Gyosoon Kim (85, Parish 4 in Manmin Central Church)


I have suffered fecal incontinence and had a difficult time from 3 years ago. Fecal incontinence refers to the inability to control bowel movements due to weakness of the anal sphincter muscle. I could not dare talk about this to anyone including my children. I was so afraid of meeting people that I stayed at home.
At first, I thought little of it but it went worse little by little. Later I had to change my underwear several times a day and I went to the hospital. The doctor said it was an inoperable disease and gave me medication. I took it for a month but there was no improvement with me at all. Symptoms got worse as time went by.
Afterwards, I visited 7 more hospitals and tried everything I could including oriental medicine and western medicine. None of them worked and I could not sleep well because I had to go to the bathroom frequently at night. Finally, I had to wear diapers and I thought, ‘I feel very embarrassed even to my children. I cannot go out. What use is it for me to live this life? I better die.’
One day I told this fact to my daughter Pastor Eunyoung Cho, and she noticed my serious illness. She told me to attend ‘Manmin Summer Retreat 2023’ and receive healing from God. But I could not agree with her because I thought I would have to share a room with my group members. A few days later she said she had reserved a family room, so I decided to attend it. And I prayed for my healing at a ‘Vowed Daniel Prayer Meeting’.
On July 31, when I attended ‘Seminar and Divine Healing Meeting’ of the event, I felt pain in the lower abdomen. But I persevered and listened to Acting Senior Pastor Soojin Lee’s message. Then, Father God showered down grace upon me.
As Speaker Pastor Lee prayed for the sick on the platform, burning fire flashed through my whole body and I became assured of my healing. After the meeting, I returned to my dorm and testified to my family that I had been healed. From that day on, the frequency of fecal incontinence gradually decreased, and I didn’t have to go to the bathroom frequently at night. In October, the symptoms of fecal incontinence completely disappeared. Hallelujah!
I am so happy and grateful that I can go out freely and sleep well at night. I give all my thanks and glory to our loving Father God who cured me of fecal incontinence which was so painful to me.
