Six years ago, due to severe stress from business, I even thought about death. As a result, the blood vessels in both of my retinas ruptured. About five and a half years ago, I underwent four surgeries?two in each eye?at a large hospital, but afterward my eyesight dropped to about 20/80. I could not even pass the driver’s license fitness test.
On Sunday, May 18 of this year, by the recommendation of senior deaconess Ae-Ja Kim, I visited Manmin Central Church for the first time. While listening to pastor Soojin Lee’s sermon, I was deeply touched. During the Sunday worship service, I realized what my past wrongdoings had been.
After registering at the church on May 25, I listened to The Message of the Cross and grew my faith, diligently attending Sunday worship services and Daniel Prayer Meetings. Starting from my fifth week of attendance, I began to experience gradual improvement in my eyesight.
On August 4, I joined the Manmin Summer Retreat, where I was touched by pastor Soojin Lee’s message and received her prayer for the sick with faith. At that moment, though I was sitting in the back, the words “Manmin Central Church” at the front of the hall suddenly came into my sight, clear and distinct. I was overwhelmed with astonishment and joy. Convinced that I had been healed, I went up to the stage and testified, giving glory to God.
After the retreat, when my eyesight was tested again, my vision, which had been about 20/100 in the left eye and 20/80 in the right, improved to about 20/33 in the left and 20/29 in the right. Hallelujah! In the past, I could not read the Bible without using an extra-large magnifying glass, and even then it was very difficult to read for long. But now, I can read the Bible without using that big magnifying glass. I give all thanks and glory to our good God who healed me.
