On November 27, 2025, during a trip to the Philippines, I went snorkeling and dove underwater to see the fish. The moment I went deep and was looking at a school of sardines, my left ear suddenly went numb, and I heard a “pop,” like something had burst. When I finished the experience and came out of the water, blood was flowing from my left ear.
When I visited the hospital after returning to Korea, the doctor said that the left eardrum was ruptured, and since the eardrum had dried up over time, there was no other way but surgery, which would take about 3 hours. Actually, my right eardrum also had ruptured when I was a child. But, I had an experience where the ruptured eardrum was regenerated through the prayer of Pastor Emeritus Jaerock Lee.
However, while my right eardrum was not in a whole condition, even the left was ruptured. From the doctor's perspective, it was a serious situation where if even the left ear went wrong, both ears might not hear well. At that time, there was a hollow, echoing sound in my ear, like inside an empty jar, and voices sounded as if they were echoing.
Desperately wishing to be healed by faith, I went before pastor Soojin Lee after the Sunday Evening Service on December 7th. Since I had previously experienced the works of power through the shepherd, I believed in God who is the same yesterday and today (Hebrews 13:8), and had the confidence that 'I could be healed just by making eye contact.' The moment I greeted pastor Soojin Lee, I was deeply moved and thrilled, and a prayer of thanks came out along with the certainty of, "Wow, I must have been healed."
When I went to the hospital the next day, the doctor said, "Your eardrum is healing and reattaching well," and suggested we monitor the progress. And a week later during the re-examination, he said, "Oh! The torn eardrum has completely attached." Hallelujah! The doctor also marveled, saying it was a very rare case, and I testified that God had healed it. Even now, about 5 months later, there is no buzzing at all and I can hear normally. In a situation where I had to undergo a major surgery taking about 3 hours, Father God perfectly healed me. I give all thanks and glory to Him.
