Taemin Hwang (Professional gamer/2 Youth Mission)
Blizzard Entertainment, an American PC game developer and publisher, invited the world's 16 best professional players to "BlizzCon Invitational" in Anaheim, California, October 28~29, 2005. At this year's Invitational that featured "StarCraft" and "Warcraft III" games, Taemin Hwang, who had placed second at the 2004 World Cyber Games (WCG) tournament, came in second in the "Warcraft III" category. After placing second in the 2004 WCG tournament, Hwang was recruited by the Shurauet Comando of Germany with a 7-month contract in November of that year. After another second-place finish at the World E-sports Games (WEG) tournament held in China in March 2005, Hwang was featured in the media as the "driving force behind the spread of Korean fever." Hwang's mother, Deaconess Kyung-soon Noh, gave glory and thanks to God. "As I have always prayed for my son and given God 'Mission Offerings' I prepared with all my heart," said Deaconess Noh, "He has been repaying us thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold." She also testified that after receiving prayer from Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, she has been completely healed of her herniated lumbar disc.
