Deacon Sungil Lee, age 40, Parish 19, Manmin Central Church

When I went to high school, my father's company went bankrupt. While poor in spirit, I was guided to Manmin Central Church by my school friend when I was an 11th grader in 1995.

I was born into a Christian family, but I had not experienced God before. But when I listened to Senior Pastor's word of life and witnessed his powerful works, I came to be assured of the living God and Jesus Christ as my Savior. I even experienced healing work of God; my left eardrum ruptured, so noise like a speaker's loud blast was heard in the ear, but I was healed of it by Senior Pastor's prayer.


The way of blessing was opened as I chose the truth.

In May 1999, I went to the church right away when I saw the trailer of a program that made false reports on my church.

I was not leading a proper Christian life at that time. I was enjoying free college life. But when I saw the fabricated false report, I could not stand it. I wanted to guard my church and my shepherd, so I began to lead a proper Christian life. I took care of other souls and was where I had to be. I thought it was my duty as a man.

The report turned out to be false and the incident was finished. Afterwards, my family received a great financial blessing. Several famous singers visited my parents' musical instrument shop and they became regular customers, and we received blessings through them.

After I got married in 2006, I began to help my parents. I also developed a new musical instrument. I gave the one that I made for the first time to Senior Pastor and played the Manmin Praise "Dragonflies" with it for him. He joyfully received it and prayed for my blessing.

Then, something miraculous happened. Some celebrities began to give the instruments that I made to each other as a gift and they even preordered them. Many musical instrument shops ordered the instruments and we started to sell whole sales. We also signed a contract exclusively with a famous home shopping firm and even exported our instruments to other countries.


I realized the love of God who was with me in trials.

But I soon began to pursue the wealth that was in front of me and did not live by the truth. Then, a great trial came upon me. As my business grew for a short while, many of shops and companies in the same field were jealous of me. I was subjected to investigation by the Korea Customs Service and National Tax Service. I asked Senior Pastor to pray for me and he prayed for my family and my company.

For two and a half years from 2011, police inspected, searched, and seized my company. Prosecutors investigated my case. The TV news made a report on my company as if we had done something terribly wrong. But Senior Pastor always appeared in my dream the day before something happened. In a dream before I went to prosecutors' investigation, he appeared and showed me the prosecutor's face. He let me know that every misunderstanding would be cleared up.

It felt like a long and hard period of time. When everything was done and it turned out that I was innocent, I could not stop shedding tears. I felt deeply thankful to Senior Pastor because it was he who made me a place for me to work and protected it.

While leading my Christian life, I sometimes stopped attending church due to my attachment to the world and suddenly skipped Sunday Services on the excuse of things that were happening around me. However, Senior Pastor unchangingly showed his boundless love and sacrifice to souls. As I saw his love, I was determined to repay his grace and came to lead a diligent Christian life.

As I prepared for District, Sub-district, and Cell Leaders' Devotional Service 2018, I experienced many changes. As a vice cell leader, I offered up my heart and devotion with finance and time. When I came to church to practice the special praise, I finished my work early and took my two sons to church in consideration of my wife who, otherwise, would have taken care of three children. After Daniel Prayer Meeting, I took my children home and came back to church and offered up Special Prayer Meeting for the devotional service.

Though I had to drive to church and home for four hours a day, I was so grateful for giving me the duty to take care of souls and I was happy because I have my Father God who knows my heart. My wife recently said to me that she was happy because I became a new person. I realized that I had given her a hard time and felt sorry about it. I became thankful for the ways she supports me.


My heart offered up to God became the passage to the blessing.

On March 25, it was the devotional service. After I received Senior Pastor's prayer of blessing, something amazing happened again. In fact, I could not look after my company since I devoted my time to the service. But God gave blessing to my business.

March is usually off-season, but the sales was 10% higher than the sum of sales in January and February. Many schools, national organizations, and centers chose our instruments as recommended ones, and even customers promoted our products that we import on their SNS accounts and online. Hallelujah!

Moreover, on the evening of the devotional service, my parents asked me to live in their house located in Apgujeong-dong. In fact, I had wanted to be a cell leader in the area because there had been no cell leader there though many new comers were from there since early 2018. So, the suggestion of my parents surprised me. I also received a seven-seater car that I had wanted for visitation to souls. I experienced great love of God in that way.

When I think of the grace I have received, my deeds were just nothing. But God has cherished me and blessed me. I give all thanks glory to God. I also extend my thanks to my Senior Pastor who has been leading me to the way of life and blessing.
